What Voltage Vet collects, why, and how long it is kept. Short version — the repair request form, and nothing else.
Last reviewed
This is a one-person repair shop, so this policy is short and I can answer for all of it.
What this site collects
The repair request form. When you send a request I collect your name, the contact details you give me, what kind of machine it is, what it is doing, and any photos you attach. I need those to quote and do the work — there is no other reason they exist.
Nothing else, automatically. There are no advertising trackers, no third-party analytics scripts and no social media pixels on these pages. The site sets no cookies for visitors; the only cookie this application uses is the sign-in session for the shop's own admin area.
Server logs. Like any website, the server records the address of the page requested and whether it worked. Those records are used to find broken links and to keep the site up.
What I do with it
I use your request to text you back, quote the job, and keep track of the repair. If you become a returning customer I keep the history of what I have worked on for you, because it is genuinely useful the next time something goes wrong.
I do not sell contact details, rent them, or hand them to a marketing service. If you send photographs of your scooter I may use one to illustrate a repair publicly — with nothing in the frame that identifies you, and never with your name attached.
Who else sees it
The shop uses a small number of ordinary business services to operate: hosting for this website, phone and messaging for texts, file storage for photographs, and a spreadsheet for the books. Each sees only the part of a job it needs to do its work. Nobody else has access.
If the law requires me to hand something over, I will.
How long it is kept
Repair records and their photographs are kept while they are useful for warranty and repeat work, and then deleted. Requests that never turn into a job are deleted once it is clear nothing is coming of them.
What you can ask for
Write to the shop email and ask me to send you what I hold about you, correct it, or delete it. I will do it, and I will not make you jump through anything to get there. The only exception is a record I have to keep for tax purposes, which I will tell you about if it applies.
Children
This site is not directed at children, and I do not knowingly collect anything from them.
Changes
If this policy changes, the reviewed date at the top of the page changes with it.
