Apollo
The most common premium scooter I see in DC, and a genuinely well-built machine. Apollo's own support is decent but slow on parts, so most of my Apollo work is people who don't want to wait three weeks for a warranty ticket.
What I usually find
- Stem wobble on early City models — shims and a torque spec fix it permanently.
- Display water ingress after a wet winter; the gasket is the real culprit.
- Rear hydraulic brake needing a proper bleed rather than a pad swap.
The City Pro is what I recommend to most DC commuters — enough suspension for brick, light enough to carry up Metro stairs, and I can get parts for it.
